Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are MatchMode Company (شركة ماتش مود) is the controller of your personal data in the MatchMode App. This Policy follows the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and, for users in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR. 2. What We Collect • Account: your mobile number (used to sign you in; not shown on your profile) and your name. • Profile (optional): photo, position, skill level, preferred foot, height, age, nationality and gender, shown to other players. • Games: games you organise or join, your team, whether you have told the organizer you paid, scores and Man of the Match votes (votes are anonymous). • Messages: direct messages and group chat messages you send, and reports you make. • Organizer details: the "how to pay me" text an organizer adds, shown to players in that game only. • Location: if you allow it, we use your location to show nearby games and pitches, and save your city and country (for example "London, United Kingdom") to your profile, at most once a day. We never store your exact position. We also store the pitch location an organizer picks. • Device and usage: device type, app version, crash reports and which features are used, to fix problems and improve the App. • Booking screenshots ("Scan your booking"): if an organizer picks a screenshot of their pitch booking, it is read on their phone with Apple's built-in text recognition to fill in the game. The image and its text never leave the phone and are not stored or sent to us or to anyone else. MatchMode does not take or process payments, and does not ask for card or bank details. An organizer can add a short note telling players how to pay them; it is shown only to players in that game. MatchMode does not use any third-party AI service. 3. How We Use It To run your account, let you organise and join games, show teams and results, send notifications you would expect (reminders, changes, payments to confirm, scores), keep the community safe (reports, blocking, filtering), fix bugs and improve the App, and meet legal obligations. 4. Who Sees It • Other players: your name, photo, profile details, team and record. Players in the same game see who has paid the organizer. • People you message: your messages. • Service providers who run the App for us: Supabase (accounts and data), OneSignal (notifications), Twilio (the sign-in code we text to your number), Sentry (crash reports), Apple Maps (pitch search and directions on iPhone), and Photon by komoot and Google Play services (pitch search and location on Android). • Authorities, only when the law requires it. We never sell your personal data. 5. Where It Is Stored Your data is stored with Supabase in data centres outside Saudi Arabia (including the United States). We use appropriate safeguards for these transfers as required by the PDPL and UK GDPR. 6. How Long We Keep It We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings (or ask us to at join.matchmode.app/delete-account), your profile, messages, follows, votes and photo are deleted. Games you organised that other people played are passed to another player so their history stays, and upcoming ones are cancelled. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires. 7. Your Rights You can access, correct, download or delete your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Use the App (Edit profile, Delete account) or email admin@matchmode.app. You can complain to SDAIA (sdaia.gov.sa) in Saudi Arabia or the ICO (ico.org.uk) in the UK. 8. Security Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled by per-user rules on our servers, and we review security regularly. 9. Children MatchMode is for people aged 13 and over; users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission. If we learn we hold data about a child under 13, we delete it. 10. Changes We will tell you in the App about important changes to this Policy. 11.
